If so, come join our New Product Introduction (NPI) team. We are an international multi-talented group of 11 engineers, architects & technicians, who are deeply involved across ~50% of current production output. We drive the New Technology and Product development at Smart Photonics.
Job Tasks
· Maintain and Improve III-V Process Integration (FEOL & BEOL) for Photonic Integrated Circuits’ manufacturing
· Understand & learn how Photonic Designs interact with our various Integration schemes, including Design Rules
· Develop & De-Risk New Integration Modules and Integration Flows with subsequent standardization and validation via the Change Control Board (CCB)
· Operate and Track Development and Production batches through the Manufacturing Execution System (MES)
· Apply statistical data analysis to improve Process Yield, analyze in-line PCM & defectivity trends and perform Design-of-Experiments (DOE)
· Troubleshoot sudden Process Issues by proactive Clean Room activities and investigations
· Drive results by cooperation within Smart Photonics (Engineering, Operations, R&D, Sales…) and by close Customer interaction
· Share know-how of technology and project operation within Smart community
· Take ownership of batches and technology developments
Job requirements
· MSc or PhD in Physics, Electrical/Chemical Engineering, Materials Science or related field
· On top, 4 years of Semiconductor Experience, with Cleanroom Fabrication skills and related technology systems
· Strong understanding of (Photonic) Process Integration and Yield (Design experience and/or III-V Device know-how is a plus)
· Solid skills in data analysis and risk assessment (SPC, DOE, PCM, FMEA)
· Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a cross-functional, international team
· Can handle pressure of different batches, integration technologies and priorities
· A pro-active team player with a common-sense flexible mindset
